What a great way to enjoy a beautiful day!  I stumbled upon a great park and in the short bit of time I spent at the park I saw a Bald Eagle couple and an Osprey couple that were both nesting.  One of the Ospreys caught a panfish and brought it back to their chicks.  All while it's spouse kept a watchful eye on me. 

The park is located in Pierson at the end of Nine Mile Road, which is just off County Road 3.  It's a nice quiet drive through mostly wildlife management area.  The park is provided by Volusia Forever, Lake George Forest & Wildlife Management Area, and the SJRWMD, in cooperation with each other.

The park is nestled on the waters of Florida's third largest lake, Lake George.  It's a clean facility with a pavilion, picnic tables, grills, a dock and nature trails!  Any outdoor enthuisist is sure to enjoy!  If you are like me and need to find a good bang for your buck this is it, for just gas money and lunch you can spend an afternoon enjoying Old Florida and it's wildlife.... who knows you may just see a Florida Gator!!
